Had a few problems with the high scores table, still working on that and redesigning everything to make it a bit more user friendly and secure. Please bare with me as these changes are made, we now have about 130 members which is great. I think we also need to re-establish to you guys the fact that the games on here can be played live or over a period of time. Chances are when you challenge someone they may not be online (thus the chat section to meet those who are), but that doesnt mean you cant check back the next day and continue the game, a move at a time. While you are here you may find someone else who wants a game now. The point is... check back regularly and you will soon have many games going on at once! Once again I apologise for the delay in getting the upgrades done but you can still play with no problems with a variety of different themed chess pieces. Have fun!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that we are still an active running website, lol. I have seen quite a few members join over the last couple of weeks and I would like to let you all know that I am available for challenge (my nickname is Budwick).

Have done some final tweaking and everything is running perfectly. Have added a new theme called "3d". The Simpsons theme is coming soon :O We have had a few people join and then take off without playing any games.... bit strange... but I have sent each of those people an invite to play, so hopefully they will come back for a game. If you want to have a reminder sent via email when you have been invited to play, dont forget to TURN THE EMAIL NOTIFICATION ON! OMG we are up and running!!!  All that's left to do now is test and purchase a domain... hopefully this week  :)  Plus there is a fair bit of 'cosmetic' work to be done on the other pages... oh well better get to work :D

OK so we have undergone a few major changes & set-backs but still not too far off-track.  We have unfortunately had to move the launch date back to Friday 26th February, due to the fact that a) the host we were looking  at using has turned out not to be suitable, b) we are still trying to acquire the script for this site, and c) my modem blew up in an electrical storm the day before we were going to launch (I pick up my new one tomorrow).

In the meantime, please check out our new Gooogle links as they help to pay for all those little costs (like a new modem grrr).  Our sister site The Simpsons Ultimate Trivia Challenge is now up and running so why not check that out too.

Welcome everyone to the new Oz-Chess website !

We are in early stages at the moment, we are currently downloading the ebooks and trialing the MSReader Software.  Web Excellence will probably be our host, and the domain "www.oz-chess.com.au" needs to be sorted out also.

Monday 21st February is the currently planned launch date, then we will be promoting like crazy so we get plenty of members quickly.  We don't want our first members to have nobody to play against.  To further ensure this, when the site is launched I will set up a user account for myself, and I will ACCEPT ALL CHALLENGES if anyone is looking for a game...
